WHOLESALE CUSTOMER INFORMATION

Thank you for contacting UK Imports, Inc. and inquiring about our assortment of fine British and European food and beverage. We offer a large selection of popular and iconic British and European brands that are certain to keep you coming back for more.


In order to establish a wholesale account with UK Imports, Inc. you will need to fill out a credit application, completing all required information and provide a copy of your business license. Once the credit application and a copy of your business license has been received and reviewed, your account will be established and a price list will be provided.


UK Imports, Inc. has two types of customers, DSD (Direct Store Delivery) Wholesale and NON-DSD Wholesale. You can decide which program will work better for you.

 *Should you choose to become a DSD Wholesale Customer, please keep in mind this will be based on your business location.*


DSD Wholesale Customers:

  1. DSD customers receive service via a Sales Representative per the delivery schedule that is established at the time of account set up.
  2. Sales Representatives visit the retail location, meet with a store representative, take orders, deliver the orders, and in most cases, service the product onto the shelves or display.
  3. A minimum order may be required; for example, this may be due to the location of the retail store, the amount of product desired at the time of order, or an order off delivery schedule.
  4. DSD customers are set up with payment terms ranging from C.O.D. (Cash on Delivery) or Net Terms; a set amount of time with a due date to pay the total bill. DSD Drivers do not accept cash.
  5. All sales are final, depending on type of service credits will be determined once account is established.


NON-DSD Wholesale Customers:

  1. Non-DSD Wholesale Customers are typically independent businesses that do not require a Sales Representative to provide delivery service.
  2. Wholesale customers can place their orders by using our online order form, email or phone.
  3.  Wholesale customers are responsible for picking up the order at the designated Distribution Center or having the order shipped to a designated location.
  4. Wholesale customers can shop at the Orlando Distribution Center between the hours of 9:00am and 2:00pm, Monday – Friday, excluding holidays. An appointment is required at all Distribution Center locations.

A.  Please remember you are signing for quantities and quality; we cannot assist you after you leave if there are any discrepancies.

B.  Wholesale customers are responsible for any shipping costs, you are welcome to arrange your own freight however we can assist.

C.  WE DO NOT SHIP MELTABLES OUT ON THURSDAYS/FRIDAYS, DURING THE WARMER CLIMATE NO EXCEPTIONS.


We ship via UPS for smaller orders and LTL/FTL (Less Than Truckload/ Full Truckload) freight.

A.  All incremental expenses incurred for services required at the time of delivery are not covered by UKI and will be passed on to the customer. These include, but are not limited to; pallets, lift gate charges, inside delivery, limited access locations, residential or high-cost area charges assessed by the carrier and fuel charges.

B.  NON Meltable Shipments, UPS charges are billed to you with $5.00 per box shipping and materials.

C.  LTL charges are billed to you with all costs that are required by your warehouse and carrier.

D.  Cooling materials of $10 + per box regardless if it is UPS or LTL will be added to your order seasonally especially for warmer climate locations. Faster service might be needed if the transit is longer than three days. We can assist in booking an LTL Refer Truck, please advise if you would like this service instead.

E.  We cannot guarantee, replace, or refund products that become soft or melted during transit during warmer climates, as it is at your discretion of ordering meltable during the warmer climate.

F.  Damage to shipments must be noted on the bill of lading at the time of receipt or credit will not be issued. Damage merchandise should be retained along with packaging materials and shipping cartons for possible inspections by carrier. We may request digital images of damages to support our claim with the carrier. Credit will be placed on your account for future orders only.

D.  Orders that need to be shipped can typically be fulfilled within 48 hours, with exceptions.

E.  Non-DSD customers do not have a minimum order.

F.  Expiration dates are available upon request.

G. Full case orders are preferred, but exceptions can be made.

H.  We offer sales on products for the following: (please inquire when placing your order)

A.  Products that have an expiration date of 90 days or less

B.  Crushed or dented products

 

Drop off Customers:

This is a drop off service only. Product will be dropped at your door and we are not able to bring product into your location.

  • Your invoice will be verified by you at the time of drop off.
  • Any invoice discrepancies must be noted on the invoice at the time of drop off.
  • Please remember you are signing for quantities and quality; we cannot assist you after we leave if there are any discrepancies.

 

Deliveries are available Monday – Friday:

Drivers start early, you must be available even if you are not open.

  • Typically, between 7am to 10am
  • Deliveries can only be made when our drivers are in your area.

 

Requirements:

  • $250.00 minimum order
  • $50.00 delivery charge
  • Orders over $1,500 will be free of charge
  • *Subject and Restrictions may apply depending on size of your order

Non-returnable due to food safety reasons:

UKI items are non-returnable due to potential safety risk associated with food products.

 

ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENTS:

UKI accepts the following forms of payment:

 Checks, cash, ACH, debit cards and credit cards.

A $30 charge will be added to returned checks.
